Detoxing Your Ears:
Ask yourself this question, "what are you listening to?" Pay attention to how you feel when you listen to your music and anyone talking, including tv shows, movies, etc. Studies show, that even as infants, music aids in our moods and learning. Try muting the tv & discover how watching it with now sound makes u feel. A huge way to know how the music you listen to effects you is to stop listening to music, tv & internet up to 1 week or change what you listen to for 1 week. Are in a mental prison? Are you behind the cell bars of your own mind? Are you listening to the only person whose behind those bars with you, which is you? Then please understand that you are your own prisoner which means that you cannot trust your own thoughts right now. (at least none of the negative thoughts) Your mind is locked away in dark thoughts BUT because it's YOUR prison, YOU have the key. However, you have a cell mate in there will you and you have to fight your cell mate to get out. That cell mate is you. You see, you've learned to trust your thoughts and have learned to trust that voice in your head. That's why you listen and that's why you believe him. You have to expose that voice and call it a lie. You cannot trust yourself/your thoughts right now. The thoughts telling you that you are unworthy, unloved, unable, etc. The thoughts that remind you of your pain, your struggle, past hurts, and a big one... Your FEARS. Sometimes it's not even the hurt that's talking, bur the fear. Whatever is in that head of yours, FIGHT THE PRISONER WITHIN. Fight that inner cell mate and free yourself of your mental prisoner. CALL for help if needed. Whether it be a counselor, therapist, family, etc. You MUST reach out. Let this be urgent and not optional because if you stay there too long, it can get very dark and you can get very lost or weak. You MUST reach out to the light to expose the darkness. Who brings light to you? If someone makes you feel worse they're NOT the person who can help you at this time. Positive/inspirational music and instrumental music is highly suggested. Remember, words/ language/ communication effects your emotions!!!
